Maryland Multi-Housing Association Raises $10,000 for
Homeless Veterans in Baltimore City

Housing industry group supports The Baltimore Station during its annual golf outing

(OWINGS MILLS, MD) – The Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA), a professional trade association supporting housing providers and companies that supply goods and services to the multi-housing industry in Maryland, is pleased to announce that its 22nd annual golf tournament raised $10,000 for The Baltimore Station, an organization that supports individuals dealing with homelessness and substance use disorder by providing residential and community-based therapy programs. Since 2009, the housing industry group has donated over $160,000 to The Baltimore Station.

Held on Thursday, June 6, 2019, MMHA’s 2019 golf outing, sponsored by Moran’s Elite Termite & Pest Management Company, brought together more than 140 golfers from MMHA’s member businesses and organizations, as well as residents from the communities they serve. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, cocktails, raffles and 18 holes of golf on the beautiful fairways of Mountain Branch Golf Club in Joppa, MD.

MMHA continues to serve as a valued partner of The Baltimore Station and is a “Friend of The Station,” an honor recognizing individual donors, businesses and other partners that have committed the highest level of financial support. MMHA sponsors The Baltimore Station’s two largest fundraising events—Homerun for Recovery and Stars, Stripes & Chow Chili Cookoff Edition—and coordinates volunteers to support a variety of activities throughout the year. Both MMHA’s staff and its members routinely get involved at The Baltimore Station to help serve meals, provide maintenance services, and seek out job training and placement opportunities for the veterans and other residents.
