Nearly 500K Kidde Smoke Alarms Recalled, May Not Detect Fire
On March 21st, 2018 Kidde voluntarily recalled nearly 500,000 dual sensor smoke alarms. The company stated that a yellow protective cap may have been left on one of the 2 sensors and could compromise the smoke alarm's ability to detect smoke. If you recently purchased a Kidde smoke detector or if there is one already installed in your estabilishment make sure to physically inspect it, and if needed order a replacement.
