In this class you will learn how to successfully apply sales strategies to conduct apartment tours, converting prospects/future residents to applicants.  

  • Explain and define the importance of product knowledge and building value. ​

  • Evaluate curb appeal; Review the preparation required to conduct tours. 

  • Conduct successful apartment tours (onsite and virtual).
  • Apply the feature benefit sales approach to apartment leasing practices. 
  • Detail a practical process to overcome common objections.​
  • Classify closing techniques to assist with and/or increase conversion. ​

About the instructors:

April Clements 

April brings with her a diverse skillset; she is a licensed Realtor® and hosts experience in Property Management as a Leasing Specialist and an Assistant Property Manager. Additionally, she also has an extensive background in restaurant management where she held various positions including being a training manager. Her expertise will be invaluable in supporting the Associations mission with a focus on enhancing the member experience and ensuring that our educational offerings mirror the educational needs of the multifamily industry.

Candice Manning

Candice Manning hosts over 20 years of sales experience working more than 15 years in the Property Management realm.  Leading teams as large as 28 and as small as 6, Candice is passionate about people and team development. Holding a degree in Speech Communication/Broadcasting, she has been able to utilize her background in communication to successfully master the craft of relationship building-reducing vacancies and increasing profit for multiple corporations.  Candice also employs her background to create and facilitate classes that enhance skills and drive results on the community. Simply put, she prides herself on creating classes that encourage a mindset to change behaviors and drive performance.
